About the Sukanya Samriddhi (SSY) Calculator

Our free Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY) Calculator helps parents and legal guardians compute the total maturity corpus, guaranteed annual compound interest, and year-by-year financial growth for their girl child's savings account.

How SSY Interest and Maturity Are Calculated

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana is a government-backed small savings scheme designed to encourage savings for a girl child's education and marriage:

$$\text{Interest Earned} = (\text{Opening Balance} + \text{Yearly Deposit}) \times \left(\frac{\text{Annual Interest Rate (\%)}}{100}\right)$$

  • Deposit Period: Contributions are required for the first 15 years from the date of account opening.
  • Maturity Period: The account matures fully upon the completion of 21 years from the opening date.
