About the Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) Calculator
Our free Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP) Calculator helps investors determine the maturity value and total interest earned on their lump-sum investments in the Kisan Vikas Patra small savings scheme backed by the Government of India.
How Kisan Vikas Patra Works
Kisan Vikas Patra is a secure, low-risk certificate scheme designed to double your invested principal over a fixed lock-in period determined by prevailing government interest rates:
- Investment Doubling: The core feature of KVP is that your deposited lump sum doubles at the end of the specified tenure based on the notified compounding interest rate.
- Compounding Formula: Maturity value is calculated annually using the compound interest formula:
$$A = P \times (1 + r)^t$$
How to Use the Calculator
Simply enter your investment parameters or adjust the range slider:
- Investment Amount: The lump-sum principal you wish to invest (minimum ₹1,000 with no upper limit).
